Stu Phillips

b. 19 January 1933, St. Eustace, near Montreal, Quebec, Canada. St. Eustace was a location dominated with the French and Phillips was raised bilingual. (He afterwards also documented in both German and Afrikaans). He was inspired with the performing of Gene Autry but initial sang within a Montreal cathedral choir. In his early teenagers, his dad, a railroad architect, relocated for a while to Calgary.
