Combining laughter with punk attitude, Strong Killings continue in the tradition of rings like Angry Samoans and, recently, Pissed Skinny jeans. Comprised of vocalist/guitarist Nate Mooter, drummer Mike Loggins (both veterans of punky power pop revivalists the Lashes), and bassist/vocalist Carlos Lopez-Lopez, Solid Killings produced in Seattle following the bandmembers jammed jointly at house celebrations and had taken their name in the description of the R-rated film. Their self-titled full-length debut appeared on Don’t End Believin’ in summer months 2011, a assortment of rapid-fire, high-energy music covering styles like dinosaurs, consuming, and breaking items, with scenester rant “As well Cool” featured within the MTV Hive music blog page.
