Strawberry Smell

Armed using what surely should be among the absolute worst type of band brands in rock and roll & move history, the Strawberry Smell have grown to be France’s leading lighting in the never-ending psych-pop underground. Shaped in the tiny town of Avignon, France, by several friends bound with a shared desire for both ’60s garage area rock and roll and ’70s digital experiments, over time of employees instability, the group ultimately settled in to the lineup of vocalist and vintage key pad collector Cyril Jean, guitarist Christophe Valliant, his bass-playing sibling Olivier, and drummer Cyril Mazela. The foursome documented three EPs for little Western european indies between 1993 and 1997, that have been enough to catch the attention of the attention from the United kingdom mod-psych label Rainbow Quartz. The group documented their first recording, Odorama, within their own home studio room in 2000, liberating this mixture of groovy vintage body organ and synth noises, jangling guitars, and close-harmonized British vocabulary vocals in August 2001.
