Stove

Stove may be the single automobile of Newtown, Connecticut’s Steve Hartlett, formerly from the indie rock-band Ovlov. Pursuing Ovlov’s break up in early 2015, Hartlett instantly began reworking materials he had designed for his previous band in to the dark, fuzz-heavy format of what he’d eventually brand Range. Playing every one of the electric guitar, bass, and drums himself, Hartlett documented Stove’s debut within a successful three-day program in rural Vermont with co-producers Nick Dooley and Dan Francia (in the Brooklyn music group Flagland). Ovlov’s previous label, Exploding in Audio, agreed to discharge Hartlett’s new task and Stove’s debut LP, Is certainly Stupider, was released in November 2015. The May be the Meats That Fell Out EP slipped the following calendar year.
