Stormbringer

This Swiss quintet was formed in 1984 by Dave Barreto (vocals), Angi Schilero (guitar), Fabian Emmenger (keyboards), Urs Hufschmid (bass) and Laurie Chiundinelli (drums). Acquiring their name from Deep Crimson’s 1974 record, they customized in melodic power steel, evidently in line with the works from the last mentioned group. Nevertheless, it became an extremely non-descript tribute, and seduced few followers. Disillusioned by having less media and open public response, they split immediately after the record premiered. Schilero continued to try out with China for a short while, prior to starting his own music group.
