Stomp Gordon

Vocalist and pianist Gordon led an excellent jump quintet through the entire 50s that included Billy Brooks on trumpet and ‘Small’ Hiawatha Edmundson on tenor saxophone. You start with Decca Information’ 48000 R&B series in 1952, with that your band documented the insulting ‘Moist Rag’, the Gordon music group recorded excellent songs for Mercury Information in 1953 – including an uproarious special event of the after that latest Kinsey Sex Statement in ‘What’s Her Whimsey Dr Kinsey?’ – and later on documented for Chess Documents and Savoy in the mid-50s.
