Blessed in Trinidad, guitarist Steven Springer was influenced by metal drum and calypso music. His initial band, Sanctuary, gained several awards within the American Southwest. Springer after that became a member of the Trinidad Calypso Music group, playing in the 1988 Globe Good in Brisbane, Australia. Following a tour with this band, Springer became a member of the Trinidad Tripoli Metal Band. His 1st solo recording, Caribbean Internet casino (1994) combined calypso, reggae and jazz.
