Biography

Steve Poltz can be an adult alternative-pop singer/songwriter who released his debut recording, One Left Footwear, in the springtime of 1998. Given birth to in Canada but elevated in NORTH PARK, Poltz started his professional musical profession as an associate from the Rugburns, who toured throughout America through the early ’90s, nurturing a little cult market. During his period using the Rugburns, Poltz struck up a camaraderie with Jewel, who was simply a struggling vocalist/songwriter in California at that time. The two started collaborating, writing several music including “YOU HAD BEEN Designed for Me,” that was included on her behalf debut solo record, Bits of You. Almost a year . 5 following the intial discharge of Bits of You, “YOU HAD BEEN Designed for Me” became popular single, ultimately spending more than 14 months in the American graphs. The achievement of the one meant that brands were thinking about Poltz, who acquired still left the Rugburns at that time. In 1997, he agreed upon to Mercury Information and began documenting his single debut, One Still left Shoe, that was released in March 1998. Five years afterwards, Poltz left Isle and founded his very own imprint 98 Pounder Information. Chinese Vacation made an appearance in Oct 2003.

15 In July 1998 while touring with Lisa Loeb, he met an aspiring 15 year old musician. He gave her a bracelet (made by Jewel) and told her that when the bracelet broke, she would become famous. Six months later, she got a phone call from a family friend who was giving a music executive a tour of a time share. She was too young to drive and her parents weren't home, so she drove a golf cart over and gave her demo tape to the music exec in question, Jeff Rabhan. When she got home from her meeting with him, her bracelet broke. Two months later, Jeff Rabhan called her. He became her manager and she recorded an independent album called "Broken Bracelet." Shortly thereafter, Maverick offered Michelle Branch a record contract.
