Steve Hobbs

One of the most talented vibraphonists to appear in the later ’80s, Steve Hobbs’ design is bop-based but fairly primary. He examined at Berklee, the School of Miami, as well as the School of North Colorado in Greeley, and freelanced in Denver for six years with such players as Tom Harrell, Joe Bonner, Spike Robinson, and Stix Hooper. Hobbs ultimately moved back again to Raleigh, where he functions simply because an educator but continues up a dynamic performance timetable. He has documented as a head for Cexton, Timeless, and Candid.
