Stephen Fearing

Vocalist/songwriter Stephen Fearing was created within the mid-’60s in Vancouver, but spent the majority of his boyhood in Dublin, where he found the traces of Celtic folk that color his music. He came back to Canada within the middle-’80s, and started playing night clubs and celebrations in the region. Fearing self-released his debut recording Stephen Fearing (The Yellowish Tape) in 1986, and authorized with Canadian label Aural Custom for another recording, 1988’s Out to Ocean. The LP also made an appearance within the U.K. on Dark Crow Information. Though he documented the recording Blue Range in 1989, Fearing spent the majority of that yr and another touring the U.S. and European countries on the Celtic expenses that performed at Peter Gabriel’s WOMAD Event as well as the Reading Event. Canada’s Accurate North authorized him in 1991 and reissued Out to Ocean and Blue Range before liberating his major-label debut The Assassin’s Apprentice in 1994. It presented looks from Sarah McLachlan and longtime friend Richard Thompson. The recording was also Fearing’s U.S. debut, on Cooking Vinyl fabric Information. Industrial Lullaby adopted in 1998 therefore Many Miles adopted two years later on.
