Stephen Duffy

Stephen Duffy might have been the Pete Ideal of the ’80s. Just like Best was no more a member from the Beatles once the Fab Four became home brands, Duffy departed from Duran Duran just before that group exploded on MTV. Nevertheless, Duffy could carve an market for himself, launching many albums that ventured into several types of pop music. In 1978, Duffy produced Duran Duran with John Taylor (electric guitar) and Nick Rhodes (keyboards) in Birmingham, Britain; Duffy sang and performed bass.
