Stephen Bishop’s light pop design garnered him handful of success being a solo artist in the later ’70s and a larger reputation as an excellent songwriter. After his initial group, the Weeds, disbanded pursuing senior high school, Bishop spent another seven years buying recording agreement and was finally uncovered by Artwork Garfunkel in 1976. Bishop acquired worked within a posting home, where he composed music for Chaka Khan, the Four Tops, and Barbra Streisand. His debut record, Careless, was nominated for the Grammy and created several graph singles, including “On and On.” Visitor performers over the record included Garfunkel, Khan, Gary Brooker, Steve Cropper, and Phil Collins, who afterwards recorded Bishop materials on his Encounter Value record.
