#Quote
I'm very unhappy with the film, I never had a chance to do one scene the way it was written or the way I wanted it to be. The script wasn't respected. Bad producers, bad partners, it was a terrible experience. - On his unfortunate partnership with 20TH Century Fox making Babylon A.D. (2008).
[on the policemen who protested La Haine (1995) at Cannes] How can you disapprove of something you haven't even seen?
[on the situation in the Banlieues of France] It's a vicious circle. Cops hate kids because kids hate cops and so on, and it will never end.
I don't know if it's really important, or intelligent even, when people say to me I'm a white Spike Lee, because they said to Spike Lee you're a black Woody Allen.
