The rhythm battery of keyboardist Wycliffe “Steely” Johnson and drummer Cleveland “Clevie” Browne emerged because the dominant production team from the contemporary dancehall reggae era, financing their skills to records from acts including Shabba Rates, Maxi Priest, and Gregory Isaacs.
