Steelwind

Folksinger Jack port Traylor formed this group by the end from the 60s. By 1973 it contains Diana Harris (vocals/piano), Craig Chaquico (business lead acoustic guitar; ex-Soma), Skip Moriarty (acoustic guitar/flute/vocals), Danny Virdier (bass) and Rick Quintanal (drums). Steelwind had been closely connected with Jefferson Aircraft and its own side-projects that Traylor had sometimes provided material. A KID Of Character was issued within the Aircraft’s Grunt label. The arranged made up of acoustically-based tunes, a lot of which handled ecological and interpersonal themes. It effectively evoked the atmosphere and heart prevailing within the town’s music from the 60s. Steelwind split up shortly soon after when Chaquico became a member of Jefferson Starship.
