Starfuckers

Italian concrete-rock experimental unit Starfuckers was shaped in 1987 by vocalist Manuele Giannini, guitarists Gianni Ginesi and Gianfranco Verdaschi, bassist Paolo Casini and drummer Roberto Bertacchini. Assembling fractured, abstractly minimal commercial collages which detonate rock and roll structures to their most elemental sonic elements, Starfuckers released their debut LP Metallic Illnesses on the Electric powered Eyes label in 1990; Casini still left the group immediately after, and by adding Alessandro Bocci, the Starfuckers started moving into digital terrain using the 1991 follow-up, Brodo di Cagne Strategico. Guitarist/bassist Mauro Rigoni changed Verdaschi around enough time of 1994’s Sinistri; a seven-inch, “Ordine,” shortly became the band’s first American discharge, appearing over the Drunken Seafood label. By enough time of 1997’s Infrantumi, the Starfuckers lineup was decreased to the primary trio of Giannini, Bocci and Bertacchini.
