Starfish Pool

Belgian acolyte of dark ambience Koen Lybaert shaped Starfish Pool following an unsuccessful stint within a noise-rock combo called Starfish Enterprises. As guitarist in the initial group, Lybaert steadily moved from rock and roll and into digital structure, dissolving Starfish after many years and reworking a vintage music group piece into his single debut, 1994’s Chill Out’N Baffled. Along with periodic help from DJ PH (a co-employee also associated with Starfish’s Nova Zembla label), Lybaert released two EPs during 1995, coming back along with his second record, Interference, twelve months later. Kinetic implemented in 1999. Lybaert also functions in two various other groupings, Uruz and Submove, and was an associate of Die Rote Fabrik.
