Stagnant Pools

Stagnant Private pools were shaped in Bloomington, Indiana by brothers Bryan and Douglass Enas. The lads started playing music collectively at a age group, after Bryan, the old of both, got a bass acoustic guitar within the 8th grade. Soon these were playing in some local rings, Bryan on bass (and later on acoustic guitar) and Douglass on drums. By 2009, Bryan’s 1st year of university, these were playing like a duo beneath the name Stagnant Swimming pools, with Bryan on acoustic guitar and vocals and Douglass on drums. That same 12 months they began documenting their minimally produced however rich-sounding and hypnotic mixture of sound pop and common (Joy Department, the Strokes) indie rock and roll, aswell as playing displays around Bloomington and with famous brands Japandroids and EMA. By the summertime of 2011, that they had completed an album’s value of music and agreed upon to Polyvinyl. The melancholic and loud Temporary Room premiered in the past due summertime of 2012. Over time spent touring, the brothers retreated with their house base and started working on brand-new songs jointly. After paring down from 20 music to ten, they strike the studio to begin with focus on their following record. The noisier, a lot more brooding Geist premiered in June of 2014.
