Vancouver substitute pop quartet Stabilo formed in 2000. Performers/guitarists Jesse Dryfhout and Christopher John (who initial teamed within the middle-’90s in a higher school grunge music group dubbed Molly), bassist Karl Williaume, and drummer Nathan Wylie lent their moniker through the Stabilo Employer highlighter utilized to scribble various other potential band brands, and under that name self-released their eponymous debut LP in 2001. Once the monitor “Everybody” emerged like a grassroots preferred on radio train station XFM, the disk sold more than 5,000 copies, and after abbreviating their name to just Stabilo, the group authorized to main label EMI to concern the 2004 EP Cupid? Their Brad Wood-produced LP Joy and Disaster adopted in the springtime of 2006.
