St. Johnny

Alternative rockers St. Johnny produced in Hartford, CT, in 1991. The quartet — Expenses Whitten (acoustic guitar, vocals), Jim Elliott (bass), Wayne Letitia (drums), Tom Leonard (acoustic guitar) — released a 7″ record independently label, Asthma Information, which gained plenty of attention to possess Chicago’s Ajax Information released another single. Both singles of noisily melodic filthy punk rock resulted in a bidding battle in past due 1992, with DGC Information growing as the champion. Caroline Records released a compilation of both 3rd party singles (plus four unreleased paths) in 1993 prior to the 1994 launch from the band’s full-length debut, 1994’s Rate Is Dreaming.
