Squirtgun

Full of a lot of energy and fervor, Squirtgun has melodic punk rock and roll in the Lookout Information tradition, pulling on bands just like the Descendents, Green Time and Screeching Weasel. The music group formed in nov 1993 when punk rock and roll manufacturer and bassist Mass Giorgini made a decision to form a fresh band from the remnants of his outdated music group, Rattail Grenadier. With Rattail associates Flav Giordini (electric guitar) and Dan Lumley (drums) in the lineup, the group recruited vocalist/guitarist Matt Hart of Freaks of Character. In the springtime of 1995, Squirtgun documented their debut EP, Shenanigans, for Lookout. A tune off this record, “Public,” was after that highlighted in the Kevin Smith film Mallrats. Their self-titled, full-length record was released afterwards that season. After recruiting guitarist and vocalist Zac Damon for concert events, the band released their second EP in 1996. Entitled Mary Ann, the record was a tribute to Mary Ann of Gilligan’s Isle, as well as the group shot a video having a cameo by celebrity Dawn Wells. Squirtgun’s second record, Another Sunny Afternoon, arrived in the springtime of 1997. Soon after, the bandmembers begun to concentrate more attention on the other tasks, including Screeching Weasel, the Mopes, Common Rider, and Simian. Their third & most propulsive full-length, Fade to Shiny, premiered on Honest Don’s Information in the summertime of 2003.
