Spy

This six-piece symphonic US rock group was formed in 1979 by David Nelson (guitar), John Vislocky (vocals), Danny Seidenberg (violin), Michael Visceglia (bass), Dave Le Bolt (keyboards) and Rob Goldman (drums). Spy had been a highly flexible and talented music group in the Boston, Styx and Kansas vein. Their self-titled debut, released in 1980, was an undiscovered traditional from the pomp-rock genre. Saturated with keyboards, spectacular vocal harmonies and liquid guitar work, it really is still tough to describe why the record sold so badly. They had even more songs in planning, but CBS Information fell them before they may be finished. Spy disintegrated because so many of the music group members came back to session function.
