Biography
Area of the early-’70s Uk hard rock and roll scene, Spooky Teeth grew from the bluesy VIPs and prog rock and roll group Artwork and contains vocalist Mike Harrison, keyboardist/vocalist Gary Wright, guitarist Luther Grosvenor, bassist Greg Ridley, and drummer Mike Kellie. The group constructed a pursuing through countless gigs and documented its debut record, It’s ABOUT, in 1968. Spooky Two became their most effective album within the U.S.; soon after, Ridley left to become listed on Humble Pie and was changed by Andy Leigh. Pursuing 1970’s Wedding ceremony, Wright left to create Wonderwheel, while Grosvenor got the name Ariel Bender and became a member of Stealers Steering wheel and afterwards Mott the Hoople. The addition of three people of Joe Cocker’s Grease Music group — Henry McCullough, Chris Stainton, and Alan Spenner — had not been enough to keep carefully the music group afloat, and Spooky Tooth split up following the Last Puff in 1970. A reunion in 1973 with Wright, Harrison, and potential Foreigner guitarist Mick Jones created several LPs, like the reasonably effective You Broke My Center THEREFORE I Busted Your Jaw, but employees shifts and too little top-notch material finished the task in 1974. Wright continued to an effective solo career, credit scoring pop strikes like “Fantasy Weaver,” and Mike Kellie afterwards joined up with the punk-pop Just Ones.
