Given birth to in Stockton, California, vocalist/songwriter/guitarist Christopher Scott Kannberg (aka Spiral Stairways) established himself in the first ’90s because the guitarist (and occasional songwriter) for highly influential indie rock and roll clothing Pavement. In 1998, Kannberg began his personal label, Pray for Mojo (later on renamed Amazing Grease), and created the Preston College of Market with drummer Andrew Borger and bassist Jon Erickson, both of whom experienced previously used Amazing Grease documenting performers, the Moore Brothers. The music group released a small number of solid albums and made an appearance on Kannberg’s 1st official Matador Information solo release beneath the Spiral Stairways moniker, 2009’s Actual Feel.
