Spinning Coin

The members from the Glasgow quartet Content spinning Coin got each been playing in rings, writing songs, and producing the scene before they joined together to create fiercely ramshackle indie pop that reminded their upcoming label mind Stephen Pastel of the “feeling (he) got by the end of the Youngster Hairdressers and the start of Teenage Fanclub.” They shaped in past due 2014 ostensibly to back again guitarist Sean Armstrong on the batch of his tracks, but soon got the name Rotating Coin and became something even more. Composed of Armstrong (electric guitar and vocals), Jack port Mellin (electric guitar and vocals), Cal Donnelly (bass), and Chris Light (drums), Spinning Gold coin began playing displays around their hometown and captured the hearing of Fuzzkill Information, which released the band’s self-titled five-song debut cassette in Oct of 2015. This documenting and their concert events brought these to the interest of Geographic Music, a label operate with the Pastels and sponsored by Domino. They house recorded their initial single, “Albany”/”Edges,” and released it in Apr of 2016.
