Spiders

Based from the musically wealthy city of Gothenburg, Swedish hard rockers Spiders hire a refreshingly spirited and decidedly nonblack metal-influenced sound that harks back again to past due-’70s and early-’80s decibel pushers like Girlschool, Motörhead, as well as Aussie underground punk purveyors Radio Birdman, not forgetting fellow retro-rock Scandinavians Graveyard and Kvelertak. Created this year 2010 round the skills of John Hoyles (Witchcraft), Olle Griphammar, Richard Harryson, and charismatic frontwoman Ann-Sofie Hoyles, the quartet released its eponymous debut EP via Crusher Information in 2011, adopted in 2012 by its debut long-player, Adobe flash Point, the second option of which gained the music group a Swedish Radio Honor nomination for greatest rock/metal recording of the entire year. Spiders’ sophomore studio room outing, the Spinefarm-issued Tremble Electric, found its way to November 2014.
