Spider Murphy Gang

German rock and roll & move revivalists Spider Murphy Gang took their name from Elvis Presley’s fictional saxophone participant in the music “Jailhouse Rock and roll.” The Munich-based collective’s rootsy, pub band sound do remarkably well amidst the early-’80s German fresh wave scene, rating Top Ten strikes with “Skandal im Sperrbezirk” and “Schui Tog.” The music group endured several lineup adjustments in the ’90s, but is constantly on the tour and record well in to the 21st century.
