Biography
Jazz pianist and composer Spencer Williams was created in New Orleans on Oct 14, 1889, their studies at the neighborhood St. Charles University or college before relocating to Chicago in 1907. Ten years later on he was in NEW YORK, teaming with Fat Waller to pencil a small number of tunes including 1918’s “Press Me”; the move contact of Williams’ following hits is many impressive, and contains jazz requirements like “Basin Street Blues,” “I Ain’t Got No one,” “Tishomingo Blues,” “MANY PEOPLE REALLY LIKE My Baby,” “Mahogany Hall Stomp,” “Royal Backyard Blues,” “I Ain’t Gonna Provide Nobody non-e of My Jelly Move,” “Fireworks,” and “Shim-Me-Sha-Wobble.” He journeyed to Paris in 1925 and published for Josephine Baker and La Revue Negre; time for the U.S. 3 years later on, Williams later on sang and performed on classes with Lonnie Johnson and Teddy Bunn. In 1936, he resolved in Britain, collaborating with Benny Carter on “When Lamps Are Low”; after spending the greater area of the 1950s in Sweden, Williams came back stateside in 1957, dying in NY on July 14, 1965.
