Speedy Ortiz

Merging creative songwriting, quirky period signatures, and all of the brash artiness of ’90s indie rock and roll, singer/guitarist Sadie Dupuis, bassist Darl Ferm, drummer Mike Falcone, and guitarist Matt Robidoux created the group Speedy Ortiz in 2012. Located in Northampton, Massachusetts, the users from the four-piece worked well day careers (like a university writing trainer, a guitar instructor, a librarian, and a burger-stand worker) while playing displays around N.Con.C.’s five boroughs and saving their debut EP, Sports activities. In June of 2012, Exploding in Audio released that EP, and in 2013 their 1st full-length, Main Arcana, premiered by Carpark Information. They came back early in 2014 with the true Hair EP, that was combined and documented by alt-rock maker extraordinaire Paul Q. Kolderie and presented songwriting influenced by pop and R&B. Guitarist Devin McKnight became a member of the music group for 2015’s tighter second recording Foil Deer, which Speedy Ortiz spent over per month documenting in Brooklyn’s Rare Publication Room studio.
