Speed Caravan

Speed Caravan can be an cultural fusion cooperation featuring Frenchmen Mehdi Haddab and Pascal Teillet that produced its album debut in 2008. Founded by Haddab (an Algerian-born oud participant whose credits are the rings Ekova and DuOud) and Teillet (also called Pasco, a bassist whose credits consist of collaborations with Rodolphe Burger, Erik Marchand, and Rachid Taha, amongst others), Rate Caravan also features Hermione Frank (consumer electronics), Mohamed Bouamar (percussion, vocals), Rocky Singh (vocals), while others. In colaboration with Newbled Information, Rate Caravan produced its full-length recording debut in 2008 with Kalashnik Like. Made by David Husser and stylistically rooted in electro-rock aswell as cultural fusion, Kalashnik Like features a mixture of unique materials, Algerian traditionals, and cover tracks, especially a cover from the Cure’s “Getting rid of an Arab.”
