Pianist Speckled Crimson (given birth to Rufus Perryman) was created in Monroe, Louisiana, but he made his status within the St. Louis and Memphis blues moments from the ’20s and ’30s. Crimson was equally experienced in early jazz and boogie-woogie — his design was much like Roosevelt Sykes and Small Sibling Montgomery. Although given birth to in Louisiana, Speckled Crimson grew up in Hampton, Georgia, where he discovered how exactly to play his church’s body organ.
