Space Aspect Controller is Jack port Hamill, a Uk electronic musician whose mixture of space disco, electro-funk, acidity home, and Rephlex-style braindance earned significant amounts of acclaim in the underground dance music press through the 2010s. His shiny, tuneful tracks appear back again to the ’80s and ’90s for motivation while remaining fresh new and futuristic. From Belfast, Hamill started producing ambient music as an adolescent beneath the name RL/VL, launching the record Chagrin on Hidden Shoal Recordings in 2008. Using tape devices and analog synthesizers, he started recording lo-fi Planks of Canada-inspired monitors beneath the name Space Aspect Controller in 2008. Netlabel Acroplane Recordings released his record Unidentified Traveling Oscillator, offering remixes by Boxcutter and Dave Monolith, in ’09 2009. By the finish of the entire year, his audio acquired shifted from IDM toward even more danceable electro and home, and he released his debut 12″ one “The Like Quadrant” on Kinnego Information. EP Journey towards the Core from the Unidentified Sphere made an appearance on Royal Oak the next year, as well as the hype around SDC grew. He remixed Fabrice Lig’s “Digital Forest” on R&S Information, as well as the Belgian label authorized him, liberating his dual EP Short lived Thrillz. Then remixed Anthony Tremble Shakir’s “Detroit Mind-set” on Hurry Hour Recordings. He remixed another Detroit techno pioneer in 2011, when his mixture of “OFI” by Model 500 (Juan Atkins) made an appearance on R&S. The label also released SDC’s The Pathway to Tiraquon6, that was billed as another dual EP despite including 11 paths. Hamill kept occupied touring and saving in 2012, however in 2013 he released Welcome to Mikrosector-50, a sci-fi idea recording with narration that was a lot more affected by ’80s pop and funk than his earlier produces. The full-length was preceded by an EP using the same name as the recording, including two non-LP paths. Following the recording, he came back to Royal Oak for some dancefloor-oriented EPs entitled Correlation. One quantity arrived every year between 2013 and 2015. In 2016, Ninja Melody released Orange Melamine, a previously unreleased recording of SDC’s early homemade tests documented in 2008.
