Soweto Kinch

Alto saxophonist Soweto Kinch was created in London, Britain, in 1978. His dad, originally from Barbados, was a playwright, and his British-Jamaican mom an celebrity. Kinch started playing woodwinds at age nine, learning clarinet at principal school. After conference Wynton Marsalis four years afterwards, he discovered contemporary mainstream jazz, initial exercising piano, and in his teenage years focusing on the alto saxophone. He went to Bromsgrove College in Worcestershire, graduating in 1996.
