Souzy Kasseya

b. July 1949, Kasseya, Shaba Province, Zaire. A respected light from the mid-80s, Paris-based soukous picture, guitarist and songwriter Kasseya started his career within the Zairean capital, Kinshasa, in the first 70s, being a program musician for vocalists like Sam Mangwana and M’Pongo Like. He also created produces by Bebe Manga and François Lougha. After shifting to Paris in the past due 70s, he released his initial record, Princesse Gyonne, in 1979. This included the monitor ‘Le Phone Sonne’, which as an individual continued to become massive strike in France and throughout central Africa.
