Detroit-based experimental duo Southern South Million certainly are a side project of Zoos of Berlin frontmen Trevor Naud and Daniel We. Clark. Blending a variety of discovered sounds and examples with live instrumentation and periodic vocals, the duo produces sort of pop-based audio art that appears a natural expansion of their use Zoos. Although there are components of audio collage, electro-acoustic, ambient, and jazz, Naud and Clark generally retain the solid melodic sense that is a hallmark of most their tasks. South South Mil self-released a six-song EP known as Satellite television Gallery in Sept of 2011. They ultimately agreed upon with New York-based Triple Down Information, which released the band’s debut LP, Blowing wind Hand Captured in the entranceway, in 2012.
