Inspired by Judas Priest and Iron Maiden, amongst others, Audio Barrier was at heavy metal rings active in LA within the 1980s. The matter that established Sound Barrier aside from various other metal rings was the actual fact that four of its primary associates — lead vocalist Bernie K., guitarist Spacey T., bassist/vocalist Stanley E., and drummer Dave “Skavido” Dark brown — were dark. Rock journalists had been intrigued by the actual fact that four African Us citizens were playing rock and Audio Barrier enjoyed a good quantity of press initially. But the music group hardly ever broke through commercially in support of had a little following. Produced in 1980, Audio Barrier agreed upon with MCA 2 yrs later and documented their debut record, Total Control, in 1982. Regrettably, the LP just marketed about 12,000 copies and MCA fell the music group. The headbangers’ following release emerged in 1984, if they released the EP Blessed to Rock independently PIT BULL TERRIER label. In 1986, Stanley E. announced that he was departing Audio Barrier as well as the music group ended up employing its initial white member when Romanian bassist Emil Lech (previously from the L.A.-structured band Teriff) was chosen as Stanley’s replacement. With a fresh interracial lineup set up, Audio Barrier documented 1986’s Rate of Light for Steel Blade. The record didn’t sell and in 1987, Sound Hurdle broke up.
