Soulo

Biography

The duo of Soulo grab influence from rock and electronica, leading to minimal sounds which are split with live guitar, bass, and percussion. Both Shawn Ruler and Nate Flanigan slipped out of artwork school when they joined, in a reaction to the merging of computer systems and pencils. Both met in the Fireside Dish in Chicago and bonded over their attempting to abandon the rock and roll sound for something, ironically, a little more electronic. The set released their 1st, self-titled, album around the trustworthy label Plug Study in June of 2001.
