Sonny Throckmorton began being a performer, but instead he became one of the most effective songwriters in nation music, with more than 1,000 of his music recorded by such performers as Tanya Tucker, Dave & Glucose, Merle Haggard, Jerry Lee Lewis, the Oak Ridge Guys, Doug Stone and also comedian George Burns up.
