Sonnenberg

UK-based indie pop band shaped by Gerd Zinsmeister (vocals/guitar), Helen Seymour (bass/guitar), Meike (keyboards), and Tilo Pirnbaum (drums), with Seymour the only real non-German member. The quartet fulfilled while their studies at the Liverpool Institute for the Performing Arts, and after graduation chosen to stay in the town and type a music group. Originally referred to as Wunderbar, the quartet transformed its name to Sonnenberg in the beginning of 2006 and authorized a contract using the Liverpool-based Probe Plus label soon later on. Their debut, Angling In The Pool, was a nice assortment of folk and psychedelic tinged indie pop, with ‘Mersey Moon’ and ‘Phone Song’ significant stand-out tracks.
