Son de Madera

Child de Madera certainly are a Mexican folk group from Xalapa, Veracruz, who also specialize in child jarocho, a folk design native to the spot. In addition to varied full-length album produces, the group offers performed at folk music celebrations across the world. Founded in 1992 in Xalapa, the administrative centre town of the Mexican condition of Veracruz, Child de Madera are led by guitarist Ram memoryón Gutiérrez Hernández, who experienced performed within the child jarocho group Mono Blanco along with his sibling ahead of founding several his own. Child de Madera produced their full-length debut in 1998 with an eponymous recording released around the Urtext Information label. The group’s second recording, Raíces (2000), was a self-released work. Third album Todas las Orquestas del Día (2004) was also self-released, though it had been later certified for re-release from the Moondo label in 2006. Carrying out a growing amount of folk event performances across the world, Child de Madera released the recording Child de Mi Tierra (2009) in colaboration with Smithsonian Folkways Recordings.
