Soma Sonic

Biography

The brainchild of Petersberg, Ontario-based brothers Dom and France (Dominic and Francois Paterson), Soma Sonic had a smooth, trip-hop sound that also had components of down-tempo ambience. The brothers acquired partnered before — within the trance/techno task ADSR, which Dom was an associate of from 1993 to 1995 and which France maintained from a length while surviving in NEW YORK and working being a style stylist and artwork movie director. In 1996 the brothers made a decision to pursue Soma Sonic full-time and started focus on the record that could become Upcoming. Originally released independently Subsonic Recordings label, the record was later found by Abstrakt Truth and released by them in 1999. A lovely introduction with their sound, the record also features the vocal efforts of Katalin Kiss and Amanda Weiss.
