In 1991, bassist Jez Colin and percussionist Willie McNeil formed the Solsonics from Los Angeles’s underground club picture. Although the music group has soul-jazz with up to date hip-hop rhythms, components of Afro-Cuban and reggae music also show up. The Solsonics initial gained a nationwide discharge when Chrysalis released Jazz in today’s Tense in 1993.
