Solos

A collaboration between Hella guitarist Spencer Seim and folksy singer/songwriter Aaron Ross (who also used Hella as the band attempted an expanded lineup), Solos combines its associates distinct styles to make something spastic and wonderfully effervescent. Featuring Seim on drums and Ross managing vocal and acoustic guitar duties, Solos’ audio is definitely explosive and melodic, cleaning on the listener with some sort of frantic pleasure that acts as a good comparison to Hella’s hyperkinetic abrasiveness. After going into the studio room with producer Man Massey, the duo produced its full-length debut in 2012 with Beast of Both Worlds, that was released on Joyful Sound.
