Solitudes

The ongoing Solitudes group of environmental recordings was the brainchild of natural sound archivist Dan Gibson, who first became enamored of the outside while a youth spending his summers camping in Ontario. In 1946, he founded Dan Gibson Productions Ltd. to create nature movies and television special offers, doing pioneering function in documenting the sounds from the organic world and sometimes releasing LPs from the outcomes. After four years in film creation, at age group 59, Gibson considered liberating environmental soundscape albums full-time using the 1981 release of Solitudes. In 1986 he was became a member of by child Gordon, and collectively they started adding musical passages towards the recordings, advertising their work not merely because of its preservation of animals noises, but also like a therapeutic device for stress alleviation and meditation.
