Solar Bears

John Kowalski and Rian Trench constitute Solar Bears, an Irish electronic music duo heavily inspired by film ratings and research fiction. Utilizing a variety of digital and acoustic musical instruments, their eclectic compositions range between pastoral downtempo meditations to guitar-driven neo-disco and indie pop tracks. The duo shaped in ’09 2009, naming themselves in tribute to Andrei Tarkovsky’s 1972 sci-fi traditional Solaris. Their music shortly caught the interest of Mike Paradinas, who agreed upon Solar Bears to Globe Mu and released their debut EP, Internal Sunshine, and initial full-length, She Was Colored In, this year 2010. Both produces received attention through the blogosphere, as well as the duo implemented them with sophomore recording Supermigration in 2013. The recording showcased the duo’s pop affects a lot more than their debut, and included collaborations with Maintain Shelly in Athens and Beth Hirsch. 3 years later on, Solar Bears came back with third recording Advancement on fresh home Sunday Greatest.
