San Francisco’s brainy indie pop combo Sociable Research feature vocalist/keyboardist Natalia Rogovin and drummer Michael Jirkovsky. Rogovin, an Oregon-born classically qualified pianist, and Jirkovsky, who spent his youngsters playing in Chicago punk rings, met while going to university in Santa Cruz, California and created Social Studies if they relocated to SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA a couple of years later on. The band documented its debut EP, This is actually the Globe’s Biggest Hammer, in 2007 and finally changed its revolving support lineup with bassist Jesse Hudson and guitarist Tom Smith, who also used Chicago pop rings Workplace and Mazes. Public Research spent 2009 documenting their initial full-length album, FIND YOURSELF Wooden Heart, which found its way to 2010 on Antenna Plantation Records.
