Snowglobe

Shaped by two high-school friends, Tim Regan and Brad Postlethwaite, Snowglobe’s music traverses the psychedelic folk pathways first cleared by famous brands Gram Parsons as well as the Byrds and later on explored by famous brands Neutral Milk Resort and their Elephant 6 brethren. After developing up in Memphis, Regan and Postlethwaite migrated to Athens, GA, where in fact the East Coastline contingent from the Elephant 6 is situated. The pair shortly assembled a music group, including bassist Brandon Robertson, drummer Jeff Hulett, and percussionist Brian Winterrowd. Winterrowd coined the band’s name but shortly parted methods with the machine. Quickly, the group relocated back again to Memphis, where they arranged to work documenting their debut recording, Our Property Brains. Although band self-produced your time and effort, the producing disk was a wealthy mix of devices, including pianos, strings, chimes, guitars, and organs. The music group recruited musicians from your music department in the close by University or college of Memphis. The disk premiered on Bardot Information, an imprint of Makeshift Music, in-may 2002. Makeshift also released bandmembers’ various single tasks, including two discs from Postlethwaite (released beneath the Youngsters Consumer electronics moniker), and an acoustic record from Postlethwaite and Hulett (IN COLABORATION WITH the Administration).
