SNMNMNM

Seamus Kenney (vocals/accordion), Tag Daumen (tuba/vocals), Matthew Vooris (drums), and Matthew Kenney (trumpet) build the quirky great noises of SNMNMNM. The fearsome foursome emerged jointly in 1997 while participating in the Eastman College of Music in upstate NY. There, the brothers Kenney, Daumen, and Vooris had been earning levels in music while writing their original love of life at an area open-mike evening. Their oddly alluring mixture of brass and consumer electronics eventually resulted in the homemade documenting of SNMNMNM’s self-titled debut, usually referred to as “the Crimson Record.” SNMNMNM toured to get their first record and eventually arrived themselves a fresh home in LA. The band using the tuba was attaining ground within the indie rock and roll picture, and by 2002 SNMNMNM released its Asbestos Weekend EP on Skunk Ape. A calendar year later, the music group landed a cope with International Cork and released Power Pack Equine Crunch, that was named honoring an old-fashioned give food to bag on the flooring in Johnny Cash’s barn by SNMNMNM manufacturer Loney John Hutchins’ dad.
