French hip-hop group Sniper shaped within the suburbs of Paris in 1997. Rappers Un Tunisiano (delivered Bachir Baccour) and Aketo (Ryad Selmi), dancehall toaster Dark Renega (Karl Appela), and DJ Boudj originally followed the moniker Personnalité Suspecte, but transformed the name before the 2001 discharge of the debut record, Du Rire aux Larmes.
