Fusion-influenced jam band Snarky Puppy make exploratory jazz, rock, and funk. Created in Denton, Tx in 2004, the group includes a wide-ranging assemblage of music artists known affectionately as “the Fam,” focused around bassist and head Michael Group. They debuted using the concert record Live at Unusual Surface in 2005. Since that time, the band has generated up a devoted following with a reliable touring timetable and a small number of well-received albums like the Only Regular (2006), The Globe Is Getting Smaller sized (2007), Bring Us the Shiny (2008), Tell FRIENDS AND FAMILY (2010), and groundUP (2012). In 2013, Snarky Pup released the recording Family Supper, Vol. 1, which presented a cover of Brenda Russell’s “Something.” The music proved popular and propelled the recording up numerous digital download graphs. In 2014, they distributed a Grammy Honor for Greatest R&B Overall performance for the music, and documented the live We ENJOY IT Within Utrecht, Netherlands. The arranged premiered on Ropeadope.
